About me

Hello! My name is Pernilla Elmquist and cooking is my passion, my meditation and my joy. After my participation in the Swedish version of Master Chef in 2011, I’m working today full-time as food creator, food writer and chef. I have decided to explore the Scandinavian cuisin and I am fortunate to live in Skåne, in the south of Sweden, where the changing nature of the forest and lake outside my cabin gives me inspiration for new culinary challenges. To be inspiret further I revel in cookbooks, food magazines, old cookbooks and other matbloggar to pick up new ideas.

I just started my culinary journey and want to constantly evolve. I travel a lot and visit inspiring restaurants, food fairs and culinary profiles in both Sweden and abroad, and I am a curious chef who know that I can always learn more. On my english blogg you can follow my food adventures and share recipes, fun meeting people, inspiring food tours both at home and abroad.

For me, dinner is a whole experience and I am just as interested and curious in wine.  My interest and passion for food, comes from my mother and grandmothers and my philosophy is true, good and curiously. Sure, I can complicate things sometimes, but mostly I cook fairly simple food with fresh, local produce.
